Christina and I employed Kevin and Ann to carry out all the painting and decorating services on our refurbished grade 2 listed property in the Bail Gate, Cathedral Quarter Lincoln. The property, a Guest House, consists of 7 bedrooms, lounge, breakfast room, kitchen and ancillary areas.
Kevin and Anne were very professional in their approach to understanding the project requirements of a refurbishment of such an old building, adding their ideas and expertise to the project.
They worked in with other trades and were very flexible to moving around the building sometimes on a daily basis as and when required. The works were completed on time, to a very high standard and at a very competative price and we would gladly recommend them both on private and commercial projects. Thanks Kev and Ann Great Job.

I have known and use Kev’s services for over 8 years. I have employed Kev Hackney as decorator for my rented house in Lincoln on several occasions since he was recommended to me by a property management agent in 2009. On each occasion his decorating has been of a very high standard, completing each job in good time and providing excellent value for money. Furthermore, I have used Kev for a number of other household maintenance jobs for which he has constantly provided me with excellent advice and arranged for specialist workmen to carry out jobs when he believes it to be necessary; each time, he ensures the work is completed expeditiously and always at a reasonable price. The most important quality that Kev possesses is his reliability. He has never once let me down; always ensures that my property is left clean and tidy after each job; and he has even worked in the evening and on weekends to complete jobs at late notice. Kev is a top bloke and I would recommend Kev to anyone who is after a painter and decorator who offers an excellent service at a fantastic price. We have been joint owners of a small private property lettings business in Lincoln for some 11 years
As we live over 90 miles away we initially struggled to keep up with the decorating needs of the properties and undertake small remedial works ourselves.
In the first few years we worked with various decorators but unfortunately although some of these were good we did not find them consistent / always able to meet either our standards or our deadlines meaning we were continually trying new tradesmen.
This is how we started to use the services of Kevin and Anne some 6 years ago initially for small decorating works but quickly progressing to Kevin and Ann taking on all internal and external decorating works for us on our Lincoln properties.
